2022 Oakville Rotary Clubs Scholarship Recipients

On June 15, Rotary Clubs of Oakville hosted a virtual event to celebrate the accomplishments of 32 students. Oakville Rotary Clubs contributed over $60,000 to this annual event.

Donna Messer Award

One student, Devin Li, also received the Donna Messer Service Above Self Award for her voluntary contributions to community service as a volunteer beyond what is required to graduate from grade 12. It exemplifies Rotary’s motto, Service Above Self.

The event was held virtually on Zoom for the second year and clubs look forward to recognizing next year’s winners in person. We are confident that in the future, this annual event will be held in person to recognize these students.

We would like to thank the Oakville Community Foundation for creating The Hub which provided easy access for students to submit their nominations for the awards. Oakville clubs also enjoy the many corporate sponsorships and corporate partnerships that make the events possible.

Thank you to the community leaders, Mayor Rob Burton, MPP Stephen Crawford, Oakville Chamber President France Fournier and Michelle Collins of the Oakville Foundation who participated,

Rotary brings together a global network of community leaders dedicated to solving the world’s most pressing humanitarian issues. We connect 1.2 million members from more than 35,000 Rotary clubs in nearly every country in the world.
