About the University of Wenzhou-Kean
Wenzhou-Kean University (WKU), located in Wenzhou, China, one of three Sino-American universities with NYU Shanghai and Duke Kunshan University, is approved by the Ministry of Education of China. Launched in 2012, WKU offers a unique model of higher education in partnership with Kean University, a comprehensive public university in the State of New Jersey accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. WKU is spread over approximately 500 beautiful acres and currently has 3,500 undergraduate students. It is currently experiencing rapid growth, which will bring enrollment to 7,000 students over the next five years. All instructions are in English and all programs are provided by Kean University. About the job:
WKU College of Liberal Arts is seeking dynamic candidates to teach a full range of undergraduate communication courses including, but not limited to: Social Media, Media Relations, Journalism, Oral Communication , business and professional communication, media production, public relations and higher level Elective courses in communication. In addition to teaching and research, faculty are expected to contribute to the growth of programs including, but not limited to: curriculum development, program evaluation, student recruitment / counseling , office hours, senior project supervision, internship opportunities, undergraduate research experience.

All faculty positions are full time assignments.
A tenure-track assistant professor is a full-time 10-month employee who teaches 24 credits per academic year (a course publication is available for developing grant proposals and other major research initiatives). The candidate will be expected to participate in the full range of faculty responsibilities, including high quality teaching, research and counseling; support for student learning; service to the university and / or professional community. The tenure-track position requires publications in internationally recognized and rigorously peer-reviewed journals on communication or other closely related topics; The candidate will receive a seed grant to support research engaging students.
A lecturer is a full-time 12-month employee who teaches 39 credits per year and provides student and learning support services during the assigned period. Lecturers will be expected to provide high quality teaching, student counseling and learning support services, as well as service to the university and / or the professional community; and perform related work as required. Lecturer positions are not permanent and can be renewed annually.
Teaching duties and related responsibilities may include daytime, evening, weekend and online classes. Interest or experience in using advanced educational technologies to improve the teaching / learning process is highly desirable. All teachers may be required to teach general education courses as needed. Opportunities are also available to teach disciplinary support courses. A doctorate in communication studies or a closely related field is required; ABD can be considered with completion before the effective date of employment. A minimum of two years of post-secondary teaching experience and fluency in English is required for all positions.

Faculty positions at WKU offer:
