ECPI University Moves to Larger Campus in North Charleston > Charleston Business Journal

ECPI University has opened the doors to a new, larger location at 3800 Paramount Drive in North Charleston, moving from the university’s former location on Northside Drive.

James Weaver, campus president of ECPI University Charleston, said the university is designed to support adult learners with an “immersive and hands-on” educational experience.

“Our goal is for graduates to enter the workforce prepared for careers in technology, nursing or health care,” Weaver said in a statement.

The North Charleston campus offers courses in nursing, medical assisting, cyber and information security, and engineering technologies, the university said.

ECPI has operated in the Charleston area since 2003, the university said in a news release, and has additional campuses in Columbia, Greenville as well as Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Texas. The university also offers online courses.

Vice President of Strategic Initiatives Sam Dreyfus said the larger centralized location has room to expand for additional study programs should the need arise.

“The larger site will allow for the expansion of future programs to support the region’s talent gap and better meet the labor demands employers are facing with a booming market in Charleston,” Dreyfus said. in a press release.
