Jakarta (ANTARA) – The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology has urged citizens to participate in the Indonesian scholarship program.
“I oblige all students, educators and cultural actors to take advantage of this opportunity,” Education, Culture, Research and Technology Minister Nadiem Anwar Makarim said in a written statement received here. Thursday.
The Indonesian Scholarship was launched during the tenth episode of freedom of learning. This was a follow-up to the scholarship expansion policy issued by the Education Fund Management Institute (LPDP).
In 2022, the Indonesian scholarship was awarded to more than three thousand new recipients to enable them to pursue higher education.
Makarim said the government will continuously increase the beneficiary quota so that more and more citizens can benefit from the program.
The Education Fund Management Institute Scholarship Expedition provides opportunities for capacity building through degree and non-degree programs. Through the scholarship, the educational endowment fund of the institute can be allocated to more diverse and appropriate recipients.
The scholarship offered by the institute supports microcredit programs and non-degree capacity building programs aimed at improving the capacities of students, teachers, lecturers and educators, Makarim said.
The ministry aims to eliminate boundaries or restrictions imposed by existing scholarship programs by offering additional scholarship programs through the expansion of the Educational Funds Management Institute.
The scholarship is not restricted to postgraduate students, he said. Now, undergraduate students, artists and cultural actors can also take advantage of the opportunity to pursue higher education, the minister informed.
