Message from the President of New Hampshire CIBOR: Charity golf classic June 20

Scott Forte

New Hampshire CIBOR has your back. We’re staying strong and helping our New Hampshire legislators sift through this year’s bills and providing insight from industry experts on how to help the commercial and residential real estate market – one of the key drivers New Hampshire’s economy and tax revenue.

We sent two delegates to the 2022 Realtor Legislative Meetings in Washington, DC.

Realtor legislative meetings are where NAR members play an active role in advancing the real estate industry, public policy and the association. Realtors come to the Washington, DC area for Capitol Hill tours, special issue forums, committee meetings, legislative activities, and the industry trade show. This year’s legislative meetings were held May 1-6 and the Realtors Trade Expo was held May 3-4. The event is held annually near Washington, DC each May. The event is free for members with a valid NAR member ID.

NH CIBOR works actively to foster relationships with our colleagues on the south side of the border (Massachusetts). If you are a commercial real estate agent, we strongly encourage you to attend our monthly networking event in Andover, Mass. the second Friday of each month at 8 a.m. at Brickstone Sq.

Education is an essential part of a thriving industry. NH CIBOR is proud to announce that our first annual Charity Golf Classic (June 20) will proudly benefit the NHCIBOR Cares Scholarship Fund. The fund will be used to support the integration of a greater number of people into jobs related to the real estate market; trades being only one of the first beneficiaries.

We are actively seeking Member Affiliates, service providers in the commercial real estate industry, to help us design courses to help agents better serve their clients. If you have an idea for a continuing education course, do not hesitate to contact our educational committee. Our goal for 2023 is to have a full list of approved CEUs for commercial real estate agents to meet Real Estate Commission renewal requirements. While education of any kind can be helpful, it is specific education that makes the ultimate difference. New Hampshire can be the example for the entire commercial industry to follow; and we plan to be.
