Summer II courses at PJC offer many options for students

Current and future students will benefit from a five-week course at Paris Junior College during the Summer Semester II which begins on Tuesday July 12, 2022.

Area high school graduates who have not yet applied to PJC can use the scholarship to cover tuition for a Summer Class II.

Any student starting out at PJC or a university in the fall will find something to match their study plan. Courses are designed to transfer to public universities in Texas, helping students achieve their educational goals faster. Many in-person classes are available for those who learn more easily this way, and online classes for students who prefer this mode of learning.

In-person classes in Paris include Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Composition II, Federal or Texas Government, United States History I or II, Theater Appreciation, Intermediate Keyboard Typing , microeconomics, wellness maintenance, and math lessons at all levels.

In-person classes at Greenville cover Art Appreciation, Business Computer Applications, Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Introductory Computer Science, Microeconomics, Composition II, Federal or Government Texas, United States History I or II, Lifespan Growth and Development, Introduction to Sociology, and Math courses at all levels.

In-person courses at Sulfur Springs include Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Composition II, Federal or Texas Government, United States History I or II, Music or Drama Appreciation, microeconomics, lifelong growth and development, and several mathematics courses.

Online courses cover basic animal science, business computer applications, nutrition and dietary therapy, biology, anatomy and physiology I or II, microbiology, introduction to mass communication or Computer Science, Policing Systems and Practices, Music, Art or Drama Appreciation, Macroeconomics, Composition I or II, British or World Literature, Physical Geology, Federal or Texan Government, United States History United I or II, Data and Health Content and Structure, World Civilizations I, Fitness Concepts, Drug Use and Abuse, Sports Injury Care and Prevention, College Physics II, Solar System, Introduction to PC Operating Systems , General Psychology, Lifelong Growth and Development, Sociology, Beginner or Intermediate Spanish II, Public Speaking, College Algebra, Computation for Business cial and social and statistical methods. still applied can go to www.parisjc.edu/apply or contact [email protected], 903-782-0425 in Paris, 903-454-9333 in Greenville, or 903-885-1232 in Sulfur Springs. Paris Junior College – located in Paris, Texas, about 100 miles northeast of Dallas – has been part of the Lamar County community since 1924.

Paris Junior College offers Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degrees, as well as certificates of competency in technical/manpower fields. The college has expanded its curriculum over the years to encourage associate degree and university transfer applicants. Since the establishment of its first professional program—jewelry and watchmaking in 1942—the college has been aggressive in adding technical/labor programs that will benefit students entering the workforce.

The shaded 54-acre campus includes 20 large buildings and residence halls and provides students with a unique and enjoyable learning environment.

Paris Junior College also operates centers in Sulfur Springs, Texas, and Greenville, Texas.
