The Calvary Community Missionary Baptist Church in Steubenville was the location on August 15 where the recipients of the Sonya McLoyd Scholarship were recognized by Pastor Calvin McLoyd and his wife, Vivian McLoyd. The recipients of the $ 1,000 scholarships are Grayce Calvert, who will attend Savannah College of Art and Design with a major in photography; Anna Knight, a senior at Muskingum University who will graduate this fall and pursue her Masters in Business Administration at Franciscan University of Steubenville; and Jaelynn Lawrence, who will be attending Akron University, majoring in criminal justice.
