The Van Buren Conservation District hosts an educational program at the hatchery

The Van Buren Conservation District invites families to join it for an educational outdoor experience at Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery in Mattawan starting this month. He will teach the kids all about the hatchery and the fish found in Michigan. The Van Buren Conservation District released the following:

This year, the Van Buren Conservation District is partnering with Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery to provide an educational outdoor experience for children ages 4-10. This program will be held at Wolf Lake State Fish Hatchery (34270 Co Rd 652, Mattawan, MI
49071) and will utilize everything the hatchery has to offer, including fishing, pond studies, various educational hikes, scavenger hunts, nature journaling, and tours of the facility.

Parents/guardians are required to attend the entire program and provide their own transportation. The event will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on June 22, June 29, July 13 and July 20.

We would love to have the kids in your life participate in this program! Pre-registration is required and can be completed online, at the Van Buren Conservation District office, by phone by calling 269-657-4030 x5, or by stopping by the South Haven Memorial
