PHOENIX–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The University of Phoenix is hosting the newest webinar in its educational equity webinar series, titled “Building Bridges Between Generational Differences in the Workplace” on June 16 at 11:00 a.m. PDT. Led by guest speaker LaTasha Williams, MBA, SHRM-CP, CCTC, ACRW, Certified Career Strategy and Leadership Development Coach and Director of Talent Acquisition and Leadership of The Modern Millennial Careers & Consulting, the event is intended to help participants understand how to work together to bridge the gap between generational differences in the workplace.
The event is part of a public series aimed at educators, DEI practitioners, higher education leaders and administrators, employers, nonprofits, government affiliates, and faculty, employees, students, and alumni. University of Phoenix students around the world.
After advancing rapidly in her career, Williams was often asked what the secret to her success was, so she knew she must have tapped into a career strategy that most don’t think about. Williams created her company, The Modern Millennial, and began a new mission to share what she had learned along the way, “the secret sauce for career growth no matter what your age – and that was… ‘teaching leaders how to act like their generation but harness the power of others while learning to discover your power in the workplace.’
The webinar is an educational event with learning objectives that, upon completion, attendees will be able to:
Understand generational discourse that busts myths and shifts perspectives from stereotypes to defining moments to answer the question: What is a generation?
Fundamentally start changing individual perspectives on what a generation is – and what it isn’t – in order to teach, train, coach and grow in a multi-generational workplace.
The discussion will be moderated by Tondra Richardson, MBA, Director of Student Diversity and Inclusion, and Saray Lopez, MBA, Director of Student Diversity and Inclusion, both in the Office of Educational Equity from the University of Phoenix.
